How to Get Started

Here are the 5 steps to being a Kindermusik Licensed Educator:

1. Purchase Kindermusik Opportunity Pack

Your first step would be to purchase the Kindermusik Opportunity Pack. By watching the video you would acquire a greater understanding of what is required to be a successful Kindermusik licensee. This allows you to self-assess your own suitability and interest. Should you decide to proceed with the course, you should e mail Ms Goh Chiat Jin, Director, Kindermusik Asia Pte Ltd at kindermusik@pacific.net.sg. An e mail address is therefore a prerequisite.

2. Vocal Assessment

Once vocal assessment is completed and you are certain you want to become a licensed Kindermusik educator, you will need to purchase the Kindermusik Fundamentals Home Course at S$980 +S$35 shipping charges. This is a remarkably low investment to start a business! You may pay by bank draft made out to Kindermusik Asia Pte Ltd, or you can charge it to your VISA/MASTER CARD by faxing or calling us with your credit card details. 3. Home Study

During your home study, you will work with an assigned Kindermusik mentor. In instances where Ms Goh is your mentor, you will need to download an internet telephony called SKYPE which allows both parties to see each other online and open up free text chats and communication. You will need to install a microphone ( no more than $10 - 20 ) on your PC. You will also need to download SKYPE from www.skype.com . My ID on skype is chiatgoh.

4. Course Completion in 12 Weeks

You have 12 weeks to complete the home course, upon which you have to hand in your assignment in 2 parts; 1 written part ( multiple choice questions), and 1 practical part which you need to video tape and submit for assessment. The practical portion requires you to deliver a short lesson with a prescribed activity with a small group of children within the age band of your choice, as well as several songs and chants to demonstrate your vocal/musical competency ( all details included in the assignment book ).

5. Certification

Upon successful completion of the home study course, a certificate will be issued to you certifying you as a qualified Kindermusik Educator. To become a licensee, you have to apply and pay for an annual licensing fee / agreement which is valid for a period of 12 months from 1 st April 1 to 31 st March . The cost of the annual licensing fee is S$150.

Upon submission of the signed licensing agreement and the annual license fee, we will send you your Licensed Certificate and the Kindermusik catalog and price list.
