Is Kindermusik Right for You?

Not everyone is suitable to be a successful Kindermusik educator. There are certain qualities that you need to possess.

Ability to learn and sing on pitch short songs of various styles without musical accompaniment. While many of the songs in Kindermusik's repertoire are familiar (25%), some are new, but easy to learn (55%), and a small portion are more challenging with complex melodies (20%)
Ability to sing in the appropriate range and with a light, high voice quality suitable for young children.
Ability to maintain a steady beat and move expressively to music.
A natural sense of musicianship.

Embrace a passion and respect for the child newborn through 7 years
Exhibit a commitment to the development of the whole child ( physical, social, language, emotional and cognitive development ) through music.
Maintain an energy level sufficient for leading 30-60 minute classes. You will move, sing, interact, play, lead and follow!
Communicate and effectively interact with parents and other adults who are involved in classes and vitally important to the life and development of a child.
